Merry Christmas

We had a lovely day. It started at about 6am with lots of presents to open, then breakfast which Alex helped to cook. He's a bit of a wiz on the old bbq. Some friends dropped by and there were more presents to open. A bit of a swim to cool off and a sleep for Alex then later we had lunch -- pesto and pasta salad, ham and a bucket-load of huge prawns... yum yum. Another swim or a lie on the couch in the airconditioning depending on your preference, then some plum pudding for afternoon tea. Then more time for a rest.

We wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas and a fun new year.

Camping at Straddie

Last weekend we went camping with some friends to an island off the coast. We had use of a sail boat for the weekend. We had a late start, ran a-ground on a sandbar and got to the campsite at 9pm but the next day was great! Alex spent a lot of time naked running into and out of the water. I spent a lot of time watching. It was a fun trip but I think I'll put any further adventures on hold until after Tinnie (not her real name) is born.

Camping in October. Bill, Alex and I along with my parents and two other couples and their kids all treked to the beach for the weekend. We had a great time playing in the sand and splashing in the water. Alex wasn't really walking properly at this point so he was a bit wobbly on the old pegs.
What a charmer. Alex is about 11 months old in this pic.
